Don’t forget, when you compile a new kernel also recompile vbetool so you’re laptop screen will come back on when you re-open the lid.

Actually it was party time yesterday. I got to go to a reception held by the mayor of Stavanger, Norway, Leif Johan Sevland (the big guy on the left). Nice guy, he gave a speech about how nice Stavanger is, how they’re spending 350M Krone for the upcoming celebration “Cultural City of Europe, 2008″ (that’s about 39M USD).

So you’ve installed Windows Vista and want to add some favorite programs to the SendTo right-click menu. Cool!
You open Explorer and see the folder below your name in the left hand tree. Click on the folder (a shortcut) and you get an error message. WTF! Well it turns out that Vista changed life somewhat. What you really need to do is go to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows
